A luxrious new edition of the first six Concerti Grossi of Corelli, in full score with string and continuo parts. The set represents examples of the characteristic structure of earlier Concerti Grossi, and Corelli's compositions are widely regarded to be the finest examples of the form. Composed before the increasing popularity of the Concerto De Camera and it's dance-based movements, these more traditional concerti move fluidly between the smaller Concertino group of 2 Violins, Cello and Continuo, and the full splendour of the Concerto Grosso string orchestra and continuo.

This new package combines the full score with individual parts for the two groups, giving a total of 2 Violin I, 2 Violin II, 1 Viola, 2 Cello and Continuo parts. The set has been edited by Corelli authority Nicola Reniero.
